Dr. Rick Chamberlain, Vice President of Engineering

Dr. Rick Chamberlain leads Boston-Power's engineering team in its work on innovative portable power solutions. With a doctoral degree in Physical Chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley, Dr. Chamberlain has both U.S. and international patents to his credit. His particular expertise lies in analytical investigations on the chemical and physical properties of materials and their relation to product performance. Dr. Chamberlain gained experience managing product development teams at Arthur D. Little, where he was a senior manager in the technology and innovation group responsible for developing lithium-ion battery technology. Previously he was also a Research Scientist at Eastman Kodak Co. where he helped develop new materials for application into photographic products. Dr. Chamberlain completed his undergraduate work at the College of William and Mary.
