Boston-Power is pleased to be the first lithium-ion battery manufacturer to receive the Chinese Ecolabel certification. The China environmental labeling program was established in 1993 by the China Environmental United Certification Center (CEC) in response to the World Environment and Development Conference of 1992 and input from the international environmental labeling movement. In the last 16 years great progress has been made in migrating national certification standards to guidelines that are consistent with international standards such as the Nordic Ecolabel.

With over 54 categories for environmental labeling certification, more than 800 enterprises and 12,000 products that have been awarded the CEC certificate, it is helping China move towards more sustainable manufacturing and supporting Chinese environmental protection work.
