Al Zink, Vice President of Human Resources

Al Zink is responsible for the full scope of global Human Resource at Boston-Power, including all policies, programs, and systems to support the company as it grows.  With a keen eye on corporate culture, Mr. Zink oversees all compensation, benefits, workplace planning and recruitment.  With more than 25 years of Human Resources management experience, Mr. Zink was most recently the Vice President of Human Resources at Birddog Solutions, where he managed the integration of employees after a key corporate acquisition.  His accomplishments include growing staff by 75% while reducing turnover to 11% at Compete, Inc., designing and delivering a customized competency based performance management system at Upromise, Inc., and managing the Global HR function at Thomson Dialog, which was composed of five acquired companies brought under one corporate entity.  Over ten years at PictureTel Corporation, Mr. Zink led the growth of the staff from 100 employees to 3,000 employees in five years, created an internal university that contributed $1 million to the company, and ran programs that contributed to a reduction of turnover by as much as 20%.  He holds a B.A. in Psychology from Boston College, and a Masters in Education from Boston University.
